MISSION PRIORITIES
The mission priorities of the Seventh-day Adventist Church focus on spreading the gospel and serving communities through Christ-like living, teaching, healing, and discipleship. Here are some key aspects of their mission:
- Making Disciples – The church aims to make disciples of Jesus Christ who live as His loving witnesses and proclaim the everlasting gospel.
- Christ-like Living – Members are encouraged to reflect Jesus in their moral, ethical, and social behaviors.
CHRIST’S METHOD
Developing a mission enterprise following Christ’s method is a powerful approach to service and outreach. Christ’s method, as outlined in the Bible, emphasized deep compassion, personal connection, and practical service before inviting people into a spiritual relationship.
Here’s a way to structure such an enterprise:
- Meet People’s Needs First – Christ healed the sick, fed the hungry, and cared for the marginalized. A mission enterprise should begin by addressing the tangible needs of the community, such as education, healthcare, food security, and social support.
- Build Genuine Relationships – He mingled with people as one who desired their good. This means creating spaces for authentic relationships—through mentorship, listening, and walking alongside people in their struggles.

MISSION PRIORITIES
- Teaching & Discipleship – Spiritual growth is nurtured through Bible study, righteous living, and training for effective witness.
- Healing & Service – The church prioritizes health, well-being, and ministry to the poor and oppressed.
- Global Evangelism – The “I Will Go” strategic plan (2025–2030) emphasizes communion with God, identity in Christ, unity through the Holy Spirit, and mission for all.

Promoting awareness and enthusiasm for mission to the unreached is a key focus of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church has several initiatives aimed at reaching people groups who have not yet encountered the gospel. Here are some ways they do this:
- Global Mission Initiative – This program focuses on planting new groups of believers in areas where there are few or no Adventists.
- Mission Awareness Campaigns – The church actively shares mission stories, testimonies, and updates through official communication channels to inspire members to engage in outreach.

- Church-Planting Conferences – These events provide training and resources for establishing new congregations in unreached areas.
- Global Mission Pioneers – Specially trained missionaries are sent to new regions to start faith communities and build relationships.
- Strategic Planning for Mission Growth – The General Conference Secretariat has a strategic plan focused on mission expansion and integration.

- Demonstrate Love and Service – Selfless service is at the heart of Christ’s method. Establishing initiatives like volunteer programs, support groups, or advocacy efforts can reflect His love in action.
- Teach and Inspire – Christ’s teachings were transformative. Educational programs, Bible studies, and skill-development opportunities allow people to grow in knowledge and faith.
- Invite People to Follow Him – When trust is built, and lives are touched, people are naturally drawn to spiritual truths. A mission enterprise should offer avenues for deeper spiritual engagement—without pressure, but with love.
SDA CHURCH MANUALÂ
Secretaries in the seventh-day Church often need to familiarise themselves with the SDA church Manual, which serves as a foundational document outlining the church’s principles, policies and operational procedres.
WORKING POLICYÂ
It is important for church clerks to understand the General Conference working Policies, which govern the operational and administrative standards of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church.
28 FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFSÂ
Members must familiarise themselves with the 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Church because these beliefs form the foundation of the church’s faith, practice and mission.
